Thirty years ago, long before the digital age revolutionsed our lives, Geneviève found herself working in the corporate world. Even in her early 20s, she had a knack for understanding people and their relationship woes. Geneviève was seen by her colleagues saw as the resident “agony aunt,” and she became the go-to person for advice on everything from breakups to navigating the early stages of romance.
It was through this experience that Geneviève realised she had a natural passion for supporting others, especially in matters of the heart. It wasn’t long before she channelled this passion into something more tangible and set up a secret supper club for singles, offering a discreet and supportive environment for people to meet and mingle. The response was overwhelming, with over 1000 people seeking her guidance to navigate the complexities of dating!
Through this experience, Geneviève learned that love and relationships are not taught subjects; they are often left to chance and personal trial and error. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help others, Geneviève embarked on a journey to learn everything she could about dating, relationships, and human connectivity. This led to her becoming a Certified Matchmaker and, eventually, one of only 12 Master Certified Matchmakers and Relationship Coaches worldwide.
Today, Geneviève channels her expertise into organising retreats for both singles and couples. These retreats feature comprehensive programmes designed to help participants examine their past and present relationship patterns. By identifying and unravelling unhealthy dating habits, individuals learn to make healthier choices in their love lives, ensuring they avoid repeating past mistakes. Geneviève also leverages her skills to run Narcissistic Recovery workshops. These workshops delve into the patterns that draw people into narcissistic relationships and provide strategies to break free from them. Participants explore why these types of individuals might be attractive to them, what a healthy, happy relationship truly looks like, and how to embark on a journey of healing and moving forward in a positive, healthy way.
Geneviève boasts an impressive resume and claims one of her proudest achievements was serving as the matchmaker coach for season 5 of “Married at First Sight.” The success of the show, with 75% of the couples she matched still happily together, has been the highest across the global franchise. It was a testament to the power of Geneviève’s thoughtful matchmaking and dedicated coaching.
